Course Terms and Conditions

1. Introduction
In these Terms and Conditions Amac shall mean Amacsports Limited, a company registered in England and Wales under number 04779660 whose registered office is at Nexus House, 2 Cray Road, Sidcup, DA14 5DA. These terms and conditions apply to your application for a course and any subsequent matters arising from that application. They aim to outline your obligation as a student and our obligation to you.

2. Processing of applications
a. Amac will not take responsibility for delayed postal/fax applications.
b. Course bookings are processed on first come first served basis. All course bookings will be confirmed by us in writing.
c. To secure your place on a course a completed application form and non-refundable deposit needs to be received by Amac.

d. if you inform us within seven days of receiving written confirmation of the booking that you wish to cancel we will cancel the course booking and refund of all fees paid to date. You should return all course materials at your own expense, together with a letter stating that you do not wish to proceed with the course. This letter should be posted recorded delivery. Note that if the course materials be damaged in anyway, their cost will be deducted from your refund.
e. If your company is paying your fees an official order must accompany the application form.
f. Any balance payment is due at least four weeks before the course start date. If balance payments are not received by this time, all fees paid will be forfeit and the course place may be cancelled.
g. Amac accepts payments over the telephone and by cheque.

3. Cancellations Policy
a. In addition to your rights under clause 2d if you wish to cancel all or part of a course you must notify Amac and you will forfeit all fees paid to date.

b. Non-attendance on a course will be treated as a cancellation as under clause 3a.

c. In the unlikely event that Amac has to cancel a course including but not limited to where course numbers are below the recommended group size, a tutor is ill or a venue becomes unexpectedly unavailable, Amac may cancel a course and will offer you a choice of alternative dates. If these dates are not suitable for you Amac will provide a refund up to the value of the course (or the proportion of the award if booked as part of programme.)

4. Transfer Policy

. a. A booking may be transferred, subject to availability, free of charge if 30 days or more weeks notice is given. You must notify Amac in writing if you wish to transfer your original booking to an alternative date.

b. Subject to clause 4b if a change of date is requested less than 30 days before the start date of a course, Amac may be unable to transfer your date in which case all fees paid to date will be forfeited and you will be liable to pay the module fee on re-booking of that module.

c. If you wish to transfer a module date due to medical reasons, you will be required to supply a medical certificate within 7 days of your request and a transfer fee of £70.

5. Assessments

a. are not obliged to refund your money or offer you an alternative date if you fail to attend an exam.

b. If you fail or cancel an assessment or exam you will be charged the current rate for re-booking. It is your responsibility to re-book your assessment or exam and your booking will not be taken until full payment has been received. Bookings for theory exams need to be made 2 weeks in advance.

c. On some courses you will be required to bring participants for your practical assessment.

6. Suspension of Fees
If monies are transferred for suspension they will be held for up to one year, after this time any unused fees will be forfeit.

7. Certification
Certificates are issued in the name stated on the application form. If you require a replacement certificate a fee is payable. Fees are available on request. Amac will issue certificates within 2 weeks of completion. Awarding body certificates may take up to 12 weeks from assessment date to be processed. Certificates will not be sent if any fees are outstanding.

8. Changes to Personal Details
It is your responsibility to ensure that personal details held by Amac is correct and to notify us of any changes e.g. name, address. Written notification of changes in personal details must be sent. Amac will not be liable for any errors due to incorrect personal information.

9. Confirmation of Choice
By signing the Course Application Form, you confirm that you are attending the course of your own choice and that, even if an employer, friend, relative or other party is paying your fees, you see the value of the course to your own interest and the benefits to your career.

10. Individual Needs
If you feel you need additional support with particular learning needs e.g. physical disability, hearing impairment or literacy skills. In order for Amac to support you in these areas, you must inform us of your individual needs on the application form.
